There are several reasons you see these larger grade plants. Some plants just aren’t that fast at growing and if you ever had the opportunity to avoid these slower years why not skip them and start out with a beauty.

Product Hardiness

When it comes to getting a product ready for sale one of the key factors is the plants ability to stand up to harsh conditions once it is established.

Plants don’t leave here without having the opportunity to harden off. The crops are in the greenhouse while they establishes themselves but as soon as it looks like they are ready to sell they are put outside to face the elements.
This helps ensure that the crop is used to the heat in the summer and the frosts in the winter.

Sending out a soft product will raise the risk dramatically of the plant struggling to adapt to varying conditions while going through the shock of having its roots disturbed.
